Solid Pewter St. Genesius Statue
3 1/2" Tall
"Genesius was a third century actor. He was hired to work in a stage performance before Emperor Diocletian in Rome. Genesius portrayed a Christian student about to be baptized in a play satirizing the Christian sacrament. In the midst of his performance, he realized the truth of Christianity.
When presented to the Emperor, he declared his new found Christianity. This enraged Diocletian, who wanted Genesius to renounce his new faith. When he would not, he was martyred."
